Testimonials

Mr. Miguel's fitness program that was facilitated, with our participants, at the Academies of Excellence 2008 Spring Forward Leadership Camp was both exciting and informational!

All of the camp participants enjoyed the emphasis on physical activity, while developing a better understanding of how to obtain a healthier lifestyle overall.

I would highly recommend the Fit for Me Foundation's fitness program, to any organization that wants to further impact its participants in regards to developing a healthier and more active lifestyle.

The Annual Mayor’s Back to School is a city-wide event open to economically disadvantaged, school-aged children, who live in the city of Dallas and attend a Dallas area public school during the 2007-2008 school year; This year, we distributed over 15,000 school supply packs to low-income families meeting the 2007 federal poverty income guidelines. Our goal was to increase awareness and availability of educational, health, and social services for parents and guardians of school aged children.

Because of Fit-for-Me Foundation Inc., support, we were able to empower families on the importance of physical activities. At our booth, over 1000 parents and children engaged in our jump rope, and basketball exercise routine. The families were willing participants in our activities that many of them came back for another round. So again, we thank you for your dedication and look forward to your support on future events.

Festival Hispano de la Salud! The American Heart Association launched Festival Hispano de la Salud 15 years ago to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke among the Hispanic community in Dallas. The Health Festival is set in a fiesta-style atmosphere and provides critical information to over 20,000 participants about heart health and overall wellness through a combination of on-hand medical services, demonstrations, literature, and health screening provided at the Festival.

Getting moving and staying active are essential for proper heart health. Through interactive entertainment such as dance and fitness demonstrations, Festival participants can take home simple ways to get moving and have fun at any age. In our youth area, Fit-for-Me incorporated traditional and non-traditional methods of activities such as jump rope and dance demonstrations. Don-Miguel, because of your partnership with American Heart’s Festival, you added more fun with simple exercise for every age and fitness level and at this event your support touched over 500 kids…

The Open Doors Foundation would like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to speak to our Spring Forward Camp 2007 participants, and for coming out to our camp and contributing your skill and knowledge. Thank you for helping these kids realize that there is a world of opportunity availability to them if they work hard to pursue there dreams. The children enjoyed Fit-for-Me’s program and our program will be available year round support/prevention and intervention from now on!

“Don Miguel provided complimentary fitness demonstrations for our 7th Annual Oak Cliff SpringFest and the children really loved it! He not only provided complimentary services but he also volunteered to serve on the planning committee who helped to produce the event. We were very pleased with his participation and would extend the invitation again. He does truly care about improving the health of children and of our community.”

I had the pleasure of working with Don Miguel and the Fit-for-Me Foundation in January 2007 through the Urban League’s EDGE program. We were planning a special health event, S.H.A.P.E., to encourage high school juniors and seniors to “Stay Healthy and Positive Everyday.” Don Miguel worked with us, step by step, through the planning and implementation of the event. He was truly resourceful in networking with other health-related entities to bring to our event sport celebrities and nutrition experts. Fit-for-Me even provided very nice give-a-way items to the participants. Our students still rank this event as one of the best of the year. S.H.A.P.E. 2007 was a big success, thanks to Don Miguel and the Fit-for-Me Foundation.

Fit-for-Me Foundation Inc. was an integral part in the Katy Trail Kid Walk. The warm-up activities they did with the kids were entertaining and fun at the same time getting them ready to participate in extended physical activities. The kids loved it! We will incorporate Fit-for-Me Foundation Inc. into all our special events.
